Hello everyone, we had a great garden season for our first year. We have made a lot of progress, staining the pagoda & entrance way into the garden, raising some beds, general cleaning of the whole garden, leveling out area that needed it, water system updated, new members, held a couple events to name a few. Now we have to build on our accomplishment would like to thank everyone who helped last year, especially Frank, Nancy, Al, Les, Gloria, ,Fiona, ,Tamara, Shelly . Dorothy, Grant Jones from the City ( all his help with organizing event obtaining grants, & little library) I hope I didn’t leave anyone out, you know who you are. We are on to 2018, I would like to see a lot more participation from the members in the daily tasks @ the garden weeding, watering, weed whacking, general maintenance & overall participation. I would like to know who is coming back for next year if you could let me know. We have a list of 6 – 7 people who want to be members. I like to communicate by email, advise me if this works for everyone. We have a website now, & would like to use it more. The Agriculture Society would like to work with us on projects & would like to have a session which they send out a speaker for a donation of $5.00 to $ 10.0 each attendee. I need your input on When & what topics you would like to have. Please contact me via email firstname.lastname@example.org or cell @ 587-707-7272. Lets make the 2018 season bigger & better than last year.
There is a mini library at the APRH Centennial Garden which was donated by the City of Calgary. Book donations are greatly appreciated.
The Albert Park Centennial Garden will be hosting a work bee Wednesday September 6 at 7:00 pm. Garden members are encouraged to attend. Potatoes will be available for members.
